How aging-in-place-friendly is your home?

As people grow older, they might notice that some daily activities start to feel more challenging. Simple tasks like going to appointments, shopping for groceries, preparing meals, maintaining their home, and taking care of themselves can become more difficult.

According to the AARP, “Older adults overwhelmingly want to stay in their homes (75 percent) and communities (73 percent), but many (44 percent) feel a move is inevitable, according to AARP’s latest “Home and Community Preferences Survey.”

To make this possible, it is crucial to create a safe and functional environment.

For example, bathrooms can present significant challenges for aging individuals, consider these suggestions for transforming your bathroom to support aging in place.
